My blog is smart. Not the part I write, but the software itself.
Over to the left of this text there’s a section for upcoming events. You’ll note that there are very few non-Poetry Thursday events these days, since most of the regular Oba Oba and Chester Attic gigs have been canceled. But that’s not the point. The point is that it says Daylight Savings starts on April 1st. But! Right above it, it warns you that this is a joke, by also providing notice that it’s April Fool’s Day.
I was going to fix it, but I’d like to encourage such software-cleverness as this.
I am an aunt of a very bright boy, and somehow, somehow you are linked to the Circle School (by way of my googling skills).
Did you go there? Are you an alum? Is it a good thing? What would you do to make it a better place? Should I get out my checkbook now? Thanks!
PS I am having a great time reading your comments, criticisms, characterizations of current events.
Where have you been? We miss the posts!
tell fred that i want to comment on his blog, but am too lazy to register.
here’s what i would post on “201. Milestones”:
“thank you for this. i’ve thought about old age and death a lot, ever since i can remember, so it is comforting to hear from a fellow bassist that i won’t suddenly shut down at middle age. i do, however, value my autonomy too much to live in a retirement home, so i’ll probably end it at about 75 or 80. but who knows.”
